Proof were post to be single , life of St Agnes, a practicer of single life till death. Christians were persecuted in Rome 58 AD to 251 AD and most likely till 313 AD St Agnes was killed for being a Christian, didn't want to be married, 304 AD Constantine became Emperor of Rome 306 AD Edict of Milan 313 , Constantine legalized Christianity Council of Nicea 325 To define the Christian teachings be taught in churches of Roman rule. St Agnes According to tradition, Agnes was a member of the Roman nobility, born in AD 291 and raised in an early Christian family. She suffered martyrdom at the age of twelve or thirteen during the reign of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, on 21 January 304. A beautiful young girl from a wealthy family, Agnes had many suitors of high rank, and the young men, slighted by her resolute devotion to religious purity, submitted her name to the authorities as a follower of Christianity. The Prefect Sempronius condemned Agnes to be dragged naked through the streets to a brothel. In one account, as she prayed, her hair grew and covered her body. It was also said that all of the men that attempted to rape her were immediately struck blind. The son of the prefect was struck dead but revived after she prayed for him, causing her release. There commenced a trial from which Sempronius recused himself, allowing another figure to preside and sentence St. Agnes to death. She was led out and bound to a stake, but the bundle of wood would not burn, or the flames parted away from her, whereupon the officer in charge of the troops drew his sword and beheaded her, or, in some other texts, stabbed her in the throat. It is also said that her blood poured to the stadium floor where other Christians soaked it up with cloths. Agnes is one of the “virgin martyrs” of the church of Rome.According to the legends, Agnes refused to marry the son of a prefect because she had pledged her virginity to Jesus. Her accusers and the judge tried to frighten her into abandoning her faith by showing her instruments of torture, and fires, but she won't change her mind. Then they sent her to a prison where there were many rough people, but she still wasn't frightened. One young man tried to hurt her, but he was struck blind and fell down shaking. Agnes remained loyal to Christ throughout all these trials. Finally, the judge ordered that she be executed. Everyone thought that this last threat would make her change her mind and worship another god. But Agnes went to the place of execution cheerfully, because she knew that she would meet her beloved Jesus soon. The daughter of Constantine I, Constantina, was said to have been cured of leprosy after praying at Agnes' tomb. She and Emerentiana appear in the scenes from the life of Agnes on the 14th-century Royal Gold Cup in the British Museum. ...... In my opinion it seems like St Agnes was the main reason why Christianity was allowed to be practice and was changed later by Paul because St Agnes and her practices. Think about it, every little girl waned be be like St Agnes, pure , have powers from prayers and be known as someone divine and special and also go to heaven . St Agnes was definitely a role model, more then anyone at that time, even really any female probably changed or considered to because of her, meaning to be celibate of sex, and this life even of St Agnes was spreading like wild fire, from 304 to 313 it was allowed to be a Christian because most people have already decided to be one even if it meant to leave Roman rule land which some most likely did, and that no one cared for Pagan practices or beliefs. So basically things were changing slowly but surely, the only way they would be able to gain the people back is by changing the teachings, this is where Paul comes in, and his teachings, where they harmonize the religions into one. And no our Saviour wasn't doing all that for St Agnes because she was going to be his wife after death, it was because she was practicing the real teachings, as so many others before and after from the ebonites to the Cathars, it's not like she came up with it by her self, rather it's because someone told her of the real teachings, most likely true follower of the teachings or the Original text , either way you could see the benefits of practicing the real teachings, when our savior is to say I never knew you it's because he didn't dwell in you in order for him to dwell in you you must be celibate and vegan, this is why he could say that because many don't practice this. Theirs so much proof when you look at the truth, it may not make sense to us but we are to deny our selfs , I've heard some weird understandings of what deny our selfs means, but I know what it means, the flesh , sex .
